You will likely never hear, “Et tu, Brownie?”
And why? Because a brownie will never betray you!
For over two millenniums, March 15th has sat idly, and sometimes ominously, in our minds due to the betrayal of the dictator Julius Caesar. It has been rumored, thanks to Shakespeare, that Caesar’s final words came out to be, “Et tu, Brute?” which translates to, “And you too, Brutus?” Brutus was Caesar’s closest friend, and turned out to be his biggest traitor.
So with the Ides of March approaching, beware! Keep a watchful eye out for anybody who may take a “stab” at stealing your brownies.
